How to achieve a dark stain
If you’re eager to make your Jagua tattoo stand out with an intense and long-lasting colour, this blog article is for you. We have gathered valuable tips to help you achieve a dark Jagua stain!

Tip 1: Choose quality Jagua products

The first step to achieve a dark Jagua stain is to use high-quality Jagua products. Whether you use Jagua powder, juice or gel, make sure that it is from a supplier who uses fresh jagua fruits and processes it fast to bring you the best possible quality Jagua.

Tip 2: Store your Jagua products well

Make sure that your Jagua products are always stored in the freezer to maintain the colouring properties.

Tip 3: Creating the paste

When you make a paste yourself of Jagua powder or Juice, make sure that you use good quality essential oil. After making the paste, let it set for at least 24 hours so that the dye properties are released.

Tip 4: Prepare your skin

Before applying the Jagua paste, clean your skin well and pat it dry. This ensures there is no dirt, oils or lotions that could affect the tattoo. Exfoliate the tattoo area gently to remove dead skin cells.

Tip 5: Layers of Jagua

A thick layer of Jagua will create a darker colour then a thin layer of Jagua.

Tip 6: Drying time

For a deep and rich colour, patience is key. Let the Jagua on your skin for at least 2.5 hours. But remember, the longer on your skin, the darker the stain! You could use Mefix tape to cover your Jagua paste once it has dried, to help you leaving the paste for longer on your skin.

Tip 7: Optimal aftercare

Proper aftercare plays a significant role in the longevity and intensity of your Jagua stain. After the drying period, gently remove the excess Jagua from your skin. Avoid water exposure for the first 12 to 24 hours. When washing your skin, use a gentle soap and avoid scrubbing the tattoed area.

Tip 8: Moisturize

Keep your skin moisturized is crucial to maintain the vibrancy of your Jagua stain. Apply a gentle moisturizer regularly to prevent excessive exfoliation. Well-moisturized skin prolongs the lifespan of your temporary tattoo.
